Our client is looking for a highly skilled Commercial Gas Plumber for a Temp-to-Perm vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term, permanent position with a leading mechanical contractor following a successful initial trial period.
🛠 The Role
The successful candidate will initially join the team on a temporary basis to lead installation and commissioning works. Upon successful completion of the probationary period (typically 12 weeks), the role will transition into a permanent staff position with a full benefits package.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Gas Main Installation: Installing and testing commercial gas carcasses, boosters, and heavy-gauge steel pipework.
- Plant Room Fit-Out: Installing commercial boilers, water heaters, and associated pumps/valves.
- Testing & Purging: Carrying out tightness testing and direct purging of commercial gas installations.
- Commissioning: Supporting the final firing and commissioning of gas appliances and control systems.
- Compliance: Completing all necessary Gas Safe records and handover documentation to the highest standard.
✅ Candidate Requirements
- Skills Card: Valid JIB Gold Card (Plumber/Gas Engineer).
- Gas Safe: Current Commercial Gas ACS (e.g., COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1).
- Experience: Extensive experience in commercial plant rooms and a strong understanding of Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.

- Tools & PPE: Full commercial plumbing toolkit and full 5-point PPE.
